You will soon be able to rent a villa on Moskito Island from Richard Branson

For years, Richard Branson’s Necker Island, a 74-acre oasis in the British Virgin Islands, has hosted a who’s who of dignitaries, celebrities and other VIPs. Among the luminaries who have spent time on this lush island are Grammy Award-winning singer Mariah Carey, the late Nelson Mandela and the Obama family.
Thankfully, with Branson’s latest purchase – Moskito Island – the general public will soon have the chance to vacation on one of the billionaire’s islands. Architectural Digest reports that Moskito Island is just three kilometers from Necker Island and will include 10 private estates. Three of the 10 private estates will be available for rent from October 1.

“The British Virgin Islands have been my love since my first visit,” Branson said in an interview with Architectural Digest. the island, and it would have been such a shame to spoil the incredible scenery. The opportunity presented itself to purchase Moskito Island, and we set out to make plans to ensure that its natural beauty is preserved and to develop it with others who love BVI as much as I do. “
Among the villas that will be available for rent in October are The Oasis Estate, The Point Estate and The Branson Estate. The cheapest option of the three villas, The Point Estate, can be rented for $ 20,500 per night (this drops to $ 17,500 per night in low season).
