Trinidad Tourism has a new CEO Caribbean Journal

Trinidad Tourism Limited has announced the appointment of a new managing director, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The destination marketing company nominated Kurtis Rudd for this role.
Rudd, a longtime marketing veteran, began his tenure on September 20.
“I am proud to join the diverse and talented team at Tourism Trinidad charged with the responsibility of promoting the unique and extraordinary tourism assets of our island to the rest of the world,” said Rudd. âWe are at a critical juncture in the development of Trinidad’s tourism industry, and we need the strategic collaboration of the private and public sectors to take advantage of the market opportunities ahead and emerge from this pandemic. I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Board of Directors, led by Cliff Hamilton. We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber and experience in global tourism to lead the organization. “
Rudd said he was “looking forward to working with the Department of Tourism, Culture and the Arts and all stakeholders to shape and drive the tourism sector agenda to achieve long-term sustainability and inclusive growth” .
Rudd has held a number of executive roles with major consumer companies locally and across the Caribbean, including Shell Caribbean, Prestige Holdings Limited, Courts Trinidad Limited and Guardian Life.
