The BSE real estate index zooms in by 2.84%; Indiabulls Real Estate Top Gainer, jumps 5.74%
Shares of Phoenix Ltd were up 2.17 percent. Mahindra Lifespace Developers, Prestige and Sunteck gained 1.69%, 1.67% and 1.48% respectively.
The S&P BSE real estate index rose 2.84%, outperforming frontline indices after posting gains of 77.94 points, while the Sensex rose 0.75% or 395.33 points to close at 52,880.
Rarely, all the stocks in the index ended the session in the green. Indiabulls Real Estate was the index’s top gainer, up 5.74%, and ended the session at Rs 118.75 per share. It was followed by Godrej Properties up 3.88%. DLF and Sobha climbed more than 3% each and closed at Rs 293.75 per share and Rs 480.25 per share respectively.

Brigade and Oberoi Realty traded flat with a positive bias, gaining just 0.23% and 0.09% to close at Rs 280.70 per share
