Ponte Vedra Beach house named finalist in HGTV’s Ultimate House Hunt
A beach house might be a pipe dream for most of us, but these seaside oases offer a lot of inspiration, thanks to the stunning views.
Especially when served with an abundant side of luxurious design, like such a house in Ponte Vedra Beach, which was shortlisted as a finalist in HGTV’s 2021 Ultimate House Hunt.
Held annually on HGTV.com, Ultimate House Hunt is a month-long promotion that showcases extraordinary accommodations in eight categories: Amazing Kitchens, Downtown Accommodations, Country Retreats, Tourist Attractions, Homes with a Story, Homes by the sea, outdoor getaways and houses by the water.
Listed by Jan Shields of Watson Realty Corp., the home was chosen by HGTV editors as a finalist in the Beachfront Homes category. The lavish Mediterranean-style estate features transitional interiors to modern interiors, 11,000 square feet of luxury living space, two swimming pools, and a front row location on the beach.
Described by the editors of HGTV as a “full list,” this is one of seven incredible houses selected as finalists, all located in Florida or Hawaii.
Built in 1995, the house has been renovated and extended over the years. According to Shields, the house exhibits a number of charming features, despite its sprawling size, and voters have responded similarly.
“It’s very exciting,” Shields said, “and people seem to be voting for it because it’s really, really unique.”
Comparing it to the stunning Spanish Colonial Revival estates found in Santa Barbara, Calif., Shields pointed to a sunny art gallery connecting the main house to the guesthouse. In addition, the property is one of the few on Boulevard Ponte Vedra to have its own dike.
HGTV fans have the opportunity to visit the 66 homes selected as finalists by viewing photo galleries on the website and can then vote for their favorite properties during the voting period, which ends August 4.
A winner will be chosen in each category based on the highest number of votes received, and an overall favorite will be assigned to the ad receiving the most votes. After voting, fans can also enter a raffle for a chance to win $ 10,000.
Winning homes will benefit from editorial exposure on the HGTV website, as well as the prestige of being selected as fan favorites.
This is the 10th consecutive year that HGTV has partnered exclusively with the world’s leading real estate companies and Luxury Portfolio International for the competition.
