Netflix’s ‘Bling Empire’ Season 2 Cast Guide
empire bling is back with season 2 on Netflix, more than a year after making waves with its first season giving a glimpse into the lives of wealthy Asians in Los Angeles.
From ultra-rich to heirs and entrepreneurs, the series takes us through their luxurious and glamorous lifestyle, fashion and cars among others.
Released on May 13, the new episodes include both new and returning cast members. According to Netflix’s synopsis, “Los Angeles’ rich and beloved Asians are back with even more luxury, glamor and madness. This season, a romance between Kevin and Kim percolates, Cherie and Jessey’s relationship is called into question, and as Kane and Kevin’s best friendship is put to the test, rival queens of Beverly Hills, Christine and Anna, give a new twist to the art of social warfare. But through it all, the one thing these friends hold most dear is their love for each other…and of course, impeccable style.
If you haven’t seen Season 2 yet, get ready for some binge-worthy drama and maybe some romance from those real Crazy Rich Asians.
Here is the cast of empire bling season 2
Almost all of the main cast from the first season have returned in season 2. These include Singaporean real estate agent Kane Lim, philanthropist Christine Chiu, DJ Kim Lee, entrepreneur Kelly Mi Li, socialite Anna Shay and models Kevin Kreider and Jamie Xie.
Cherie Chan and Jessey Lee, who married in February 2022, make cameo appearances in some episodes. They had announced their departure from season 2 earlier.
Social media influencer Mimi Morris and reality TV star Dorothy Wang are the two new faces of the cast.
Lim is a billionaire and a practicing Buddhist. The real estate mogul also has business interests in oil and shipping.
In the first season of the show, he was said to be “clean”[ing] malls you go to in Singapore, Thailand and all of Southeast Asia”. He acted as Krieder’s guide into the luxurious world of the crew.
Lim is also a renowned style icon. In May 2022, he became the Southeast Asian Brand Ambassador for Fenty Beauty.
Chiu is an executive producer on empire bling. Born in Taiwan, she runs Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery with her husband, Dr. Gabriel Chiu. She is also co-owner and founder of the Regenerative Medicine Aesthetic Institute as well as the BHPS SPA.
A major face from the first season of empire bling, Chiu’s “competition” with the other big face, Anna Shay, was one of the highlights of the show. In empire bling season 2, she appears at Paris Fashion Week.
On her Instagram, she shares photos of her family and has often expressed her pride in being a mother. Beside empire blingChiu was also one of the contestants of the Dancing with the stars in 2021.
Kim Lee is a Franco-Vietnamese who is a famous DJ and music producer. She has worked with Ye (formerly Kanye West), Steve Aoki, and Diplo, among others.
A professional model before turning to music, Lee does not appear much in the empire bling season 1 but is described by Lim as the “Calvin Harris of Asia”. In season one, Kreider helps Lee in his search for his biological father and the two become close in the process. Season 2 explores their romantic relationship.
Kelly Mi Li
On season 1 of empire blingKelly Mi Li has made headlines for her tumultuous relationship with actor Andrew Gray from Power Rangers Fame. Now single, Mi Li said TODAY that she’s ready to show a “funnier side” of herself to the public in season 2.
Mi Li is a Chinese-American entrepreneur, technology investor, and film producer. She is also an executive producer of Empire Bling.
Daughter of Edward Shay, founder of Pacific Architects and Engineers and contractor for US defense and government services, Anna Shay was born into wealth. Along with his brother, Shay earned $1.2 billion from the sale of their stake in their father’s company in 2006.
Thus, his life revolves around fine jewelry and private jets.
Shay, of Japanese and Russian descent, was one of the two “queen bees” of empire bling season 1 alongside Christine Chiu.
In Season 2, she takes the help of Jamie Lee with her Instagram account where she posts snippets of her personal life and jewelry.
Born in South Korea, Kreider was adopted by an American couple who brought him to the United States. He grew up in Philadelphia and later moved to Los Angeles.
A professional model and founder of the Be More Matcha match supplement, Kreider is a mainstay of the show. He has been open about his recovery from alcoholism and worked as a motivational speaker.
empire bling season 1 was told through Kreider’s eyes, and his connection to the audience was considered exceptional. In Season 2, fans can find out more about her life, fitness routines, and new romance with co-worker Kim Lee.
Chan is the heiress of a denim major. She once tried to make a name for herself in the music world and signed with Sony Music Japan, but left due to her mother’s disapproval.
In empire bling season 1, Chan was pregnant with her second child with her partner Jessey Lee, also a cast member. A long-time couple, Chan proposed to Lee and the two got engaged. Lee then proposed to Chan in August 2021. According to PEOPLEthe two then married in secret in Champagne, France, earlier in 2022.
Chan and Lee appear briefly in Season 2. The couple are active on Instagram and often show glimpses of their family life.
Morris was born in Vietnam and is said to be a survivor of the Vietnam War. She then moved to the United States, where she became a model, philanthropist and businesswoman. Morris is married to Donald Morris, CEO of plumbing manufacturing company Morris Group International.
empire bling Season 2 marks Morris’ first appearance as a cast member on the show. Her husband will also be seen alongside her.
Wang is a renowned reality TV veteran and has previously appeared on shows such as Rich Kids of Beverly Hills (2014-16). A billionaire, she is the daughter of the Chinese-American businessman Roger Wang and is herself an entrepreneur. Her businesses include jewelry line Fabuluxe and champagne brand Rich and Bubbly. She is also a licensed real estate broker.
Wang grew up in Beverly Hills but now resides in New York.
A former equestrian champion, Xie, 24, is a famous fashion influencer and the youngest cast member of empire bling.
The Chinese-American model is the daughter of Ken Xie, CEO of Silicon Valley-based cybersecurity firm Fortinet. She has an unboxing channel on YouTube where she shows off the luxury items she has purchased. She also shares her love for fashion on Instagram.
