The Italian House chose during the pandemic to expand its product offering with two new stores in New York, both in Bergdorf Goodman. The two boutiques are dedicated to their ready-to-wear and their collections of Valentino Garavani handbags.
The choice to open these stores in Bergdorf Goodman is due to the history and reputation of the department store. It has been a New York landmark since 1901 and a fashion leader, and a world style summit. “Valentino is the Italian Couture House and a true benchmark of Made in Italy luxury on the international scene,” notes the House in a press release.
Bergdorf Goodman has taken a new step in its relationship with Maison Valentino. For this launch, the department store will offer a four-week showcase of the Valentino Roman Palazzo collection and Valentino Garavani Rockstud Alcove bags.
The 58e The street entrance to the Valentino store carries the Garavani handbag collection and is the same architectural concept as Bergdorf Goodman, including the ivory silk fabric in the niches and the Florence marble shelves in brass.
The 728 square foot ready-to-wear store will feature walnut flooring finished with kilim-quality black and ivory carpet and ivory silk wall panels. Vintage display cases and French glass and bronze coffee tables add to the luxurious atmosphere. The sensuality and feminine touches add an aesthetic to the store that makes it a unique shopping experience.
