Five sites for real estate development in Oman

To provide more housing for citizens and boost the real estate sector, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has proposed five sites for private investment in five governorates. The details were announced by officials at a workshop on building projects in Muscat on Thursday.
The initiative aims to provide housing for the growing population and incentivize the private sector to invest in the governorates to contribute to the development of integrated and sustainable urban communities.
A statement from the ministry said: “Five new sites have been opened for property developers in Musandam, Dhofar, South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Batinah and South Al Batinah with a total area of over 1.8 million sq m and the purchase will take place on September 25 at the premises of the ministry.The new neighborhoods will be developed on a system of partnership contract with real estate developers.
Sorouh integrated projects are equipped with all the necessary and modern services for residential areas. The Al Naseem district is the first project implemented by Sorouh. It has 1,000 accommodations including 320 apartments, 120 villas and 475 twin villas, over an area of 350,000 m².
The real estate developer is responsible for the infrastructure and services within the limits of the project. The accommodations will be delivered to the citizens of Al Naseem in May 2023.
