Baystate Wing adds wound care
Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer recently added wound care services in partnership with Healogics Wound Care. The team, dedicated to chronic wound healing, began seeing patients on July 21 at the Palmer Health & Wellness multi-specialty clinic, located on the second floor of the hospital.

Opening of the memory care center
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on July 12 at the East Longmeadow Memory Care Assisted Living Center, the newest addition to the Meadows Crossing campus.
State Representative Brian Ashe, D-Longmeadow, presented Berkshire Healthcare Systems President and CEO William Jones with a citation in recognition of the opening of the 20-unit Memory Care Community. Also present at the event were Jennifer Metsch, Director of Constituent Services for State Sen. Eric P. Lesser, and State Representative Jacob Oliviera, D-Ludlow.
The opening completes the final phase of a campus that also includes a fully private, 131-room skilled nursing center that opened in March 2020 when the pandemic emerged.

Monson Savings supports the Shriners
Monson Savings Bank President and CEO Dan Moriarty recently presented a $2,250 donation to Stacey Perlmutter, director of development at Springfield Shiners Hospital for Children. The hospital provides specialist orthopedic, neuromuscular, cleft lip and palate, and urological care exclusively to children.
The donation was made as part of the Monson Savings Bank 2022 community giving initiative, where the public had the opportunity to vote to support their favorite local charities.
